My passion: caring for orphans

As Christ-followers we know that we were all created for a specific purpose, that God had a plan in mind when he made us in our mother's womb. We are all born with a personal set of skills and gifts and we all have different things that we are passionate about. God has made it our job to put the broken pieces of this world back together. When we all commit to doing our small part we will see the world starting to change for the better. The question many new believers ask themselves is: "What is God's plan for my life?" How do I figure out what my passion is?

It does require some soul-searching before you can uncover what gifts you have and what you are really passionate about. You know you feel passionately about something when a particular topic seems to upset you more than most people. What injustice in this world make you really angry? What particular group of people does your heart ache for more than others? The answers to these questions might reveal your passion.

Clayton and Ellen Kershaw realized that they were both really passionate about caring for orphans. Their passion motivated them to start the foundation Kershaw's challenge. They decided to start raising money that they would eventually use to build an orphanage in Zambia. The video above show us a little bit of their journey and how the idea op building Hope's home came to life.
